Falco hawkfish, scientific name Cirrhitichthys Falco is a semi-aggressive fish and should be kept with other large semi-aggressive or aggressive fish. Their minimum tank size is 30 gallons. They can grow up to 3” and live up to 10 years. The falco hawkfish is one of the smaller hawkfish species found in the hobby, Falco hawkfish are carnivore and should be fed meaty foods such as mysis or brine shrimp. Falco hawkfish are best kept in singles but can be kept in pairs if there is adequate space. Hawkfish are coral safe but caution must be taken with invertebrates. Falco hawkfish will prey upon shrimp and nano fish. Hawkfish will be seen sitting on the ground or on the rocks and will swim from place to place.
