The hector goby, scientific name Koumansetta Hectori is a peaceful fish. Their minimum tank size is 10 gallons, and they are best suited for nano tanks or tanks with small and peaceful They can grow up to 3” and can live up to 7 years. Hector gobies are omnivores that will graze on algae, they should also be fed small pieces of frozen food such as brine shrimp. Hector gobies are sand sifters, these gobies will pick sand up, clean and sift the sand through their gills back into the tank. Hector gobies should be kept singly. Hector gobies will be seen swimming out in the open once they are comfortable, when they are not comfortable, they will be shy and hide in caves. Hector gobies are also referred to as Hectors hover goby.
