The Rolland damsel, scientific name Chrysiptera Rollandi, is a semi-aggressive fish. Their minimum tank size is 30 gallons. Rolland damsels can grow up to 3” and can live up to 6 years. Rolland damsels are carnivores and should be fed small pieces of frozen foods such as brine or mysis shrimp. They can be kept alone, in pairs or in groups, as long as there is adequate space and rock work provided. If there is only a pair they should be added to the tank at the same time.  Although damsels are schooling fish they often bicker so having more group members will help lessen the aggression towards each other.   Damsels are reef safe, they will not bother coral and invertebrates. Damsels will find crevices to sleep in at night and during the day can be seen swimming throughout the tank. The Rolland damsel is also referred to as the black cap damsel.
