The domino damsel, scientific name Dascyllus Trimaculatus, is a semi-aggressive fish. Their minimum tank size is 30 gallons. Domino damsels can grow up to 5 ½” and can live up to 6 years. Domino damsels are carnivores and should be fed small pieces of frozen foods such as brine or mysis shrimp. Domino damsels can be kept alone, in pairs or in groups, as long as there is adequate space and rock work provided. If there is only a pair they should be added to the tank at the same time. Although damsels are schooling fish they often bicker so having more group members will help lessen the aggression towards each other. Damsels are reef safe, they will not bother coral or invertebrates. Damsels will find crevices to sleep in at night and during the day can be seen swimming throughout the tank. The domino damsel is also referred to as the threespot dascyllus damsel.
