The yellow dottyback, scientific name Pseudochromis Fuscus, is an aggressive fish. They require a 30 gallon minimum tank size. Yellow dottybacks can grow up to 4” and can live up to 10 years. Yellow dottybacks are carnivores and should be fed small pieces of frozen shrimp such as mysis or brine. Yellow dottybacks should be kept singly and will fight with all other dottybacks. Yellow dottybacks are reef safe with caution. They will not bother coral but may prey upon shrimp. Yellow dottybacks will be seen swimming in caves and throughout the rocks in the tank, at night they will find a crevice in the rocks to sleep in.
