Raccoon butterflyfish, scientific name Chaetodon Lunula are peaceful fish. Their minimum tank size is 80 gallons. Raccoon butterfly can grow up to 8” and can live up to 6 years. Raccoon butterflyfish are omnivores and should be fed meaty foods such as mysis and brine shrimp, they should also be supplemented with algae pellets/sheets. Raccoon butterfly can be kept singly, in pairs or in small groups if there is adequate space. Raccoon butterfly are not coral safe and caution should be taken with invertebrates as they may go after crustaceans. Raccoon butterfly will swim out in the open during the day and hide in caves to sleep. The raccoon butterfly is also referred to as the lunula butterflyfish.
