Wavy Turban snails are often seen in the hobby and are one of the medium to large sized snails. Its scientific name is Megastraea Undosa but it is often referred to as the wavy turban snail, turban snail, or the wavy top turban snail. Wavy Turban snails are from the Turbinidae family. They can grow up to 3 ½” and can live up to 12 years. These snails are herbivores and will benefit from multiple types of algae to eat from. If sufficient algae isn’t present in the tank, algae sheets can be used to help feed these snails. Their minimum tank size is 10 gallons. These snails are peaceful and are both coral and invertebrate safe. Wavy Turban snails prefer to stay on the rocks or glass and should be flipped if seen upside down.
