They can grow up to 6” from one tip to the other and they can live up to 10 years. Multicolored knobbed starfish are omnivores, they are known to eat coral, sessile invertebrates such as clams, or anemones. These starfish should be directly fed every 2-3 days for optimal health. Feedings can be any type of meaty food and should be placed underneath the starfish. These starfish have a minimum tank size of 20 gallons. Due to their wide diet, they are considered semi-aggressive. Except for sessile invertebrates they are invertebrate safe, but they are not coral safe. Multicolored knobbed starfish are nocturnal and will most often stay on the rocks or the glass. Starfish are regenerative and will grow back an arm if it is lost.
