The sabah dottyback, scientific name Manonichthys Alleni, is a semi-aggressive fish. They require a 40 gallon minimum tank size. Sabah dottybacks can grow up to 2” and can live up to 7 years. Sabah dottybacks are carnivores and should be fed small pieces of frozen shrimp such as mysis or brine. Sabah dottybacks should be kept singly and will fight with all other dottybacks. Sabah dottybacks are reef safe with caution. They will not bother coral but may prey upon shrimp. Sabah dottybacks will be seen swimming in caves and throughout the rocks in the tank, at night they will find a crevice in the rocks to sleep in.
