The Red Montipora is a SPS coral otherwise known as “Red Capricornis Montipora” or the “Red Plating Monti”. It has an intermediate care level and needs a strong light in order to survive. It can be placed anywhere in the tank that has a moderate to high light and flow setting. The intensity of the flow can change the thickness of the ridges and the direction that the Montipora will grow. The Red Montipora is considered peaceful and does not have any type of sweeper polyps. As it grows the edges will extend further and will appear white before turning red.
