Moon snails are predatory snails. Their scientific name is Naticidae sp. and they come from the Naticidae family. Their maximum size is 5” and they can live up to 15 years. Moon snails are carnivores that will eat bivalves and snails. These snails have a minimum tank size of 30 gallons. Moon snails are semi-aggressive, they are considered coral safe but not invertebrate safe. Moon Snails prefer to stay just below the surface of the sand so they can search for food.
