Dove snails are similar to bumblebee snails in size and shape but are not often seen in the aquarium hobby. Their scientific name is Pictocolumbella Ocellata but they are often referred to as lightning dove snails. Dove snails come from the Columbellidae family. Their max size is 2”. Since these snails are so rarely seen in the hobby their lifespan is still unknown. They are omnivores that prefer to eat algae, diatoms, and detritus. They have a minimum tank size of 5 gallons. Dove snails are extremely peaceful and are both coral and invertebrate safe. These snails prefer to stick to the glass and the rocks.
