The Hammer coral is a green and purple Euphyllia that is part of the LPS category. Their scientific name is Euphyllia Ancora. Hammers have a beginner care level and should be given space from other corals as they have sweeper polyps that may sting them. Hammers should get moderate lighting and a low to moderate water flow. Hammers, Frogspawns, and Torches are all Euphyllia but should not be placed within reach of each other. You can however put different colors of the same type of Euphyllia in order to make a Euphyllia garden.
