Blackfin dartfish can be kept alone or in pairs but are best kept in small or even large groups of dartfish. Blackfin dartfish can be mixed with other types of dartfish. Dartfish are skiddish and will hide less with more dartfish around. Dartfish are reef safe, they will not bother any type of coral or invertebrate. Blackfin dartfish sleep in the crevices in the rocks or in barnacles. They will sometimes dig a tunnel in the sand to get underneath the rock. During the day they will be seen swimming in the tank, if they are comfortable. If they get frightened, they will quickly run back to their house.
