The Candy Cane Coral is and pale blue LPS coral often referred to as the “Trumpet Coral”, “Candy Coral”, or “Bullseye Coral”. This is an intermediate level coral that is considered peaceful because even though it has small sweeper polyps, they are too short to reach another coral even if they are close by. Candy Cane corals do not require but will benefit from feedings of coral food (reef roids), brine shrimp and or mysis shrimp. They should be placed in the lower to middle sections of the tank with a moderate light and flow setting. Candy Canes will normally extend their polyps at night and will continue to create new branches and heads as they grow.
