How Do You Like/Light Your Mushrooms?

Image (9)

Mushroom corals are great for beginners due to their hardy nature. They can survive very stressful situations and less than ideal water parameters. They grow fast and are available in a rainbow of colors and styles. Mushroom corals don’t like much flow, and behave differently depending on light availability and strength.

Mushrooms that are getting too little light cone upward and stretch towards the light source, mushrooms that are getting appropriate amounts of light are very flat on top and spread far in diameter. Mushrooms that are getting too much light curl at the edges downward. These hardy animals will tolerate any lighting conditions you put them under and if you don’t like the way they appear a placement/lighting change can alter their appearance or behavior.

Mushrooms come in all different colors, check out all our colors in the coral category!
